Is there a DnD module you'd like to see a FRUA conversion of?

I plan to do a single FRUA project beyond the massive BeoWolf project I've set out on. That other single project will be a DnD module conversion because I want to do at least one of those.

I have a couple in mind. One of them has already been converted but that module is hacked and mine wouldn't be. The second one I have in mind is a very important one historically but a very unimportant one player wise that has not been converted. Are there any you'd like to see converted that I could consider for this single project?

The modules I'm looking at for this project fall under these rules.
1. Short. 40ish or less pages.
2. No FRUA conversion or is only available in a hacked module.
3. Nothing past 2E.
4. I'm looking at 'classic' DnD dungeon crawls as opposed to mysteries or weird stuff which is my normal fare, so more Giants 1 module and less Cult of the Reptile God type of stuff.
5. Nothing with a world that doesn't fit well with FRUA, so no Sea People, Spelljammer, or Planescape type stuff. Dark Sun is possible but would stretch things.

So many to choose from...

Any of these 3 - they're all pretty good, old fashioned modules.

1)  The Tomb of Rakoss the Undying - https://www.dragonsfoot.org/php4/archive.php?sectioninit=FE&fileid=374

2) AA1 - Pod Caverns of the Sinister Shroom - https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/13709/advanced-adventures-1-the-pod-caverns-of-the-sinister-shroom

3) AA15 - Stonesky Delve - https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/83074/advanced-adventures-15-stonesky-delve

I've got pdfs of these if you need them

Nice. I've heard of the first but not checked it out and not heard of the second two. I should be able to get the PDFs but will hit you up if I can't. Thanks a lot.

If I get to this, and IDK if I will because a major health issue has come up in the last couple months that has convinced me to push all focus to my own copyrights until I determine it's fixed, I've decided on L3, 'Deep Dwarven Delve'. If you are unfamiliar with this module, it is the very last ADnD 1E module to be published and it first appeared in print in the 1999 TSR silver anniversary collection. That collection had a limited print run of 5k copies but L3 is available on DriveThruRPG as download and print.

The rarity of the print module also makes it a target for scammers if you go looking for it. The original 5k print run from 1999 did NOT have a barcode on the back cover since it was sold in a collection that had the barcode on the outside box. All print on demand copies DO have a barcode on the back cover. This is the only way to tell the print copies apart at a glance. Never pay more than $20 for a print copy of this module without verifying if it's from the original 5k run and original printings of this run up to $400 each.

Why did I pick this one? L1 already has a FRUA conversion and doing L3 would leave L2 to be done by someone, the module has historical significance to TSR since it would have been the last module made before the switch to 2E and Gygax leaving, and because I have multiple copies of the original run and will do the conversion from one of those copies just because I have the chance to use an expensive and rare copy to do such a thing with.

Excellent choice. The L series factored heavily in a Ravenloft campaign I ran starting in 1998, till the mid 20-teens (obviously not set in the Lendore Isles). When they finally got to L3, it was an epic resolution to a mini-arc that had begun two years earlier and revolved around the revenge of Explictica Defilus from N1 (obviously relocated from Orlane). When they finally encountered the unnamed spirit naga in L3, it was Explictica's final defeat--she had been disgraced and had her name taken from her by Baalzebub as punishment for her many failures throughout the campaign. They recognized her by her scar from their first encounter with her, when the party's monk had torn out her throat.
Good times, great memories.

Getting to play through L3 in FRUA someday would be a blast.

I considered doing it for The Realm many times. That and Rahasia and Pharaoh. But there's never enough time, sadly.

So, I've called my BeoWolf module done and if I do anymore FRUA modules it will be L3 first. Chances are I will and chances are I'll start L3 within a couple months. The weird ass health issue I've been fighting for months is veeeerrrryyyy slowly clearing up with the kitchen sink being thrown at it and I hope it will be completely gone within another 2-3 months at present rate, making the entire recovery last about one year.

Depending on how it goes, I would expect to have L3 done around the end of next year. As with my other stuff, it will NOT be hacked.

Hope you feel better soon. That sounds like a miserable situation.

Good luck with L3 - it would be great to play through a version of it.

So, I've start work on L3-Deep Dwarven Delve yesterday, about done with the rough map layout, and I have one question: Is there anything specific in this module other than the main fight and some main NPCs that you would really like to see in this?

The reason for this question is that I'm approaching this like I would as a DM and I'm only using the key parts and details that I think are required for the story and will mix those parts with some details on the side.

Another thing I really don't like about the L3 module is that the scale used for the maps is really wonky compared to other underground maps I've seen and the chambers are simply massive, so the size of everything is cut back considerably.

Agreed on scale. I cut back the size of most maps throughout the Realm games for this very reason. FRUA only allows you to see a few steps ahead, so large rooms lose their perspective quickly.

I wish to see this converted... http://www.reonis.com/gulan/Hobby/RPG/FR/FRTT.htm

Those are 2e FR Unofficial adventures that I have run few times... They are really good and they are gone from noet... They need a bit FR knowledge like Avatar modules, Shazz monsters, they have lair in book of lairs too ..., Curse of the Azure Bonds trilogy ect...

They are short and nice advetures, few low level and few higher levels, all good and novel style like most of 2e FR modules... Maps are missing or done very briefly...

I hoped to make conversions of them, if someone starts I will surely continue and try to improve designs... Would preferably see it in DC.

I feel like Holy Mountain Shaker for OSE (B/X) would be amazing. It's a pointcrawl -- with successive layers depending on how thoroughly players explore the cavern up against a torch-timer before there's a cave collapse.

As for more traditional ones, Ruins of Myth Drannor -- the 2e boxset. There's a lot of interesting ideas in there.
