I'm a huge fan of the Commodore 64.  I played the first Gold-Box game (Pool of Radiance) on the C64 back when it launched, as well as several of the titles that followed it.  I have fond memories of swapping out the disks to wait for a combat to start.

If you didn't know, Commodore recently reformed and released the Commodore 64 Ultimate, which is a re-release of the machine with some modern updates (virtual disk drives, virtual tape drives, HDMI output, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, etc) to go along with the ability to use old hardware.  Old disk drives, cassette drives, monitors, cartridges and more will work on it, so it can be as authentic as you like.

I have the basic beige version, which looks and feels like the machine I remember, and I've loved diving back into the old games I used to play.  Thinking of doing a run of Pool of Radiance again for old times sake.

Anyone else got one?  Or even a real Commodore 64?

I've got a real C-64, the C-64U, the Mini-C64 and the TheC64 (or C64 Maxi) that released a few years ago.  The C64U is my favorite, though.

Here's a picture of it on one of my desks:

Brother from my uncle (moms side) had it and we played some games on it when we were 13 or so... I had ZX Spectrum... Back then Apple 2e and PC started to kick in with games and took over...

I guess c64 was like arcades that could be played at clubs outside but I had not much experience with C64 though I remember some of it and had fun... My brother from uncle from dad's side had amiga and I remember that it was much better because there were floppy discs instead of cassetes...

But anyway lately I got emulator console with all or almost all early console games up till 2000... I have not played it much, best game I guess was Mystara 1 and 2...

But lately... what I am really into is GoG and Steam and other games clients, and probably that is what I will invest in beside DAZ Studio and try to make some fan art for all that... I am just happy that I can play all those modern and older working or remastered games (have 1000 for now). It is like dream come true if I could ever dream that in 2000s... What I mean is that I almost have all D&D titles ever published and other cool iconic titles... Now when I am gonna play that God knows and I am definitely decided to dedicate myself to FRUA DC and my own system development work beside Ad&d GM-ing, and maybe some 5e if that ever happens :)

I am not sure about c64 but maybe if I ever manage to clean my places and make my rooms more organized for things like that...
